This two-hour audio seminar provides an in depth update on California tax changes that affect business entities.  Presented by noted California tax practitioner, educator and author, Kathleen Wright, J.D., LL.M., CPA, M.B.A., this practical review will discuss new statutory, regulatory, administrative, and case law developments, including the critical issue of conformity.  You'll learn how conformity issues affect business entity tax returns and you'll become familiar with all the major changes in California tax law affecting business taxpayers.  This course is essential for all practitioners who file business tax returns in California or who advise California business taxpayers on state related matters.

About the Speaker

Kathleen K. Wright is a professor in the graduate tax program at California State University--Fullerton.  She is a CPA and a lawyer with an M.B.A. (Taxation) and an LL.M. (Taxation).  Ms. Wright has a tax practice in Orange County that specializes in small business tax planning and client representation on issues related to California income tax matters.  She is the author of CCH's California Income Tax Manual and she writes frequently for Tax Analysts' State Tax Notes as a correspondent reporting on California developments.  Ms. Wright lectures frequently for professional groups, particularly the California CPA Education Foundation, where she conducts a number of seminars primarily on California tax issues.  She has been awarded the Education Foundation's Instructor of the Year Award, the Outstanding Course Materials Award, and the Award for Meritorious Service.  Ms. Wright also serves on the Executive Advisory Board of the California Franchise Tax Board.
