A native of Toronto, Canada, Dr. Quereshy is an associate professor and the residency program director of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Case Western Reserve/University Hospitals Case Medical Center. He is also a member of the craniofacial team at Rainbow Babies and Children Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Quereshy is Board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS). He received his DDS degree from the School of Dental Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating Cum Laude, and his MD from Case Western Reserve University's School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition, Dr. Quereshy completed a one-year postgraduate general surgery training and a specialized fellowship program, accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), in Facial Plastic Surgery (2000).
Dr. Quereshy is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS). He is also a Trustee for the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), an examiner for ABOMS and the Secretary and Board Examiner for the ABCS.


Facial liposuction surgery can be a useful tool for the oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Many patients seeking orthognathic surgery or facial cosmetic procedures may benefit from facial recontouring using suction assisted lipectomy. The clincian can greatly influence and benefit the final esthetic outcomes by offering facial recontouring with liposuction.

  1. Describe the clinical indications for offering facial liposuction and apply to patient selection;
  2. Explain the procedure and the instrumentation to perform facial liposuction safely and effectively; and
  3. Recognize and treat complications associated with facial liposuction.
