Presented byMeet Our Speakers: (The Majority Of Speakers Are The QIOs That Led The 8th Scope Of Work) Marian Essey, RN, BSN VP Performance Improvement Celtic Healthcare Marian Essey is Vice President, Performance Improvement for Celtic Healthcare, Inc., a Pennsylvania-based geriatric home health organization. Prior to joining Celtic Healthcare, Ms. Essey was Director of Health Care Quality Improvement for the Home Health Quality Improvement Support Center (QIOSC) and for Pennsylvania's Quality Improvement Organization (QIO), Quality Insights of Pennsylvania. In this capacity, she led multiple home health quality improvement projects in the areas of home health and long term care. She has served as a technical expert on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) panel for the Home Health Publicly Reported Measures Resource Binder and as a member of the CMS Transformational Change Workgroup. Her publishing accomplishments include the topics of disease management, care transitions, quality improvement, home telehealth, and outcome improvement. Ms. Essey has over 20 years of home health experience including clinical informatics; utilization review; outcomes and case management; and clinical supervision. Misty Kevech, RN, RN, BS Ed, MS, COS-C Director of Nursing Education Celtic Healthcare, Inc. Misty Kevech, RN, BS Ed, MS, COS-C is currently the Director of Nursing Education and Program Development for Celtic Healthcare. She was previously the Communication/Training Manager for Quality Insights of Pennsylvania, the Home Health Quality Improvement Organization (QIO)Support Center, where she coordinated and produced tools and resources for QIOs and home health agencies nationally. She has provided national presentations on many topic areas, especially related to best practices, immunizations and interventions to reduce avoidable acute care hospitalizations and quality improvement. She received her bachelor's degree in public health care education and her master's of science degree of Professional Leadership with emphasis on training and development. Over 25 years of home care experience, primarily in quality improvement and education. Tonya Miller, PT, DPT COS-C Director of Rehab Education and Program Development Celtic Healthcare Tonya Miller is currently the Director of Rehab Education and Program Development for Celtic Health Care. In this role, Tonya creates and provides education programming for interdisciplinary clinicians, patients and families related to rehabilitation services in home care. She coordinates clinical program development including implementation of evidenced practice into patient care. Tonya has 15 years of homecare experience including leadership and program development. She is currently the editor of the American Physical Therapy Association, home health section newsletter and is a well-known author and speaker in the areas of home therapy and interdisciplinary care. Tonya has recently been a panel member for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services OASIS-C review. Sean Hunt, MPM Data Analyst Celtic Healthcare, Inc. As the Data Analyst for Celtic Healthcare, Mr. Hunt is responsible for combining information from a variety of sources for accurate and timely reporting of clinical and financial performance across all levels of the organization. He received his undergraduate degree in Cognitive Science and his Masters Degree in Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University. Mr. Hunt has a variety of experience in quality improvement and analytics in multiple healthcare settings, primarily homecare. Prior to joining Celtic, he was with Quality Insights of Pennsylvania, serving as the analytical lead for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Home Health Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Support Contract. Through the national CMS QIO program, Mr. Hunt gained broad expertise in homecare quality improvement, Outcome Based Quality Improvement (OBQI), and OASIS accuracy. Since joining Celtic Healthcare, Mr. Hunt has applied this knowledge to assist with Celtic's vision of high-quality low-cost homecare and hospice services.
